5th edition of Exercise Ajeya Warrior to be held in Salisbury Plans
Indian Army troops will train with their British counterparts for counter-terrorist operations in an urban setting in the 5th edition of the bilateral military exercise Ajeya Warrior-2020.
The company level exercise involving 120 troops from each side will be held in the Salisbury Plains, United Kingdom, from February 13 to 26.
"The aim of this exercise is to conduct company level joint training with emphasis on counter terrorists operation in Urban and Semi Urban areas. Training on modern weapon systems, equipment and simulators has also been planned," Indian Army spokesperson Colonel Aman Anand stated in a press release.
The two sides will also share their experience in counter insurgency and counter terrorist operations.

Both countries regard global terrorism is a common security challenge. "The joint military exercise displays a bilateral willingness to work jointly and share operating procedures to deal with a situation in a specified operational setting. Exercise Ajeya Warrior will promote defence cooperation and enhance interoperability while sharing experiences between both the armies," the spokesperson added.
Exercise Ajeya Warrior is conducted alternatively in the United Kingdom and India.
