Rajnath launches show website, which offers discounts for early booking
Raw Space will be sold to international exhibitors at $820 per square metre indoors at Defexpo 2020, India's premier land and naval systems exhibition at Lucknow from February 5 to 8, 2020. For Indian exhibitors, the rate is $424.
But there's a discount going for early booking of space by October 31. The discounted rates are $714 and 318 respectively for foreign and Indian exhibitors. The rates for outdoor space are $509 and 212 per sq metre respectively for foreign and Indian exhibitors.
The Defexpo 2020 website www.defexpo.gov.in was launched by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on September 30. The website also announces the venue for the exhibition, Vrindavan Yojna in Lucknow's Sector 15.

Singh represents Lucknow constituency in Parliament. This will be the 11th edition of Defexpo. Nine editions of this biennial show have been held in New Delhi, while the last two were shifted by the then Defence Ministers Manohar Parrikar and Nirmala Sitharaman to their home states of Goa and Tamil Nadu respectively in 2016 and 2018.
The new Defence Minister also wants to use the staging of Defexpo in Lucknow to promote the Defence Industrial Corridor in Uttar Pradesh.
The website is meant to enable online booking of space on a first come, first served basis. Entry tickets for trade visitors for the first three days of the exhibition will also be sold online. Entry for the general public will be free on the last day, that is February 8. But the general visitors will be required to register themselves online.
